Because of a legend about the Medici family from the 15th century in which crowing roosters alerted Giuliano de Medici to hired assassins approaching, rooster pitchers such as this one are considered providers of good fortune. This rooster or chicken pitcher was handcrafted and hand-painted in Santo Stefano di Camastra, Sicily. It’s perfect for anyone who loves the color red.
