Deruta Raffaellesco Demitasse Espresso Cup and Saucer
Each ceramic espresso cup and saucer was handcrafted and painted by the artists of Ceramiche Sberna in Deruta, Italy, where the Raffaellesco pattern originated. Inspired by the frescoes painted by Renaissance artist Raphael, the pattern first appeared on Italian ceramics in the late 16th century. These espresso cups are the size and shape traditionally found in the bars and cafes and restaurants throughout Italy but the dragons on their side offer a certain elegance and grandeur.
The cup can hold approximately 2 oz when filled to the rim.
