Deruta Galletto Red 10″ Serving Bowl
This ceramic serving bowl was hand-painted by the artists Ceramiche Sberna in Deruta, Italy, and it is the perfect size for serving salad or side dish. Galletto is a modified version of a pattern that came out of the Umbrian town of Orvieto in the 13th century. In the 19th century, centuries after Deruta had become the center of Umbrian ceramics, a rooster was added to the pattern and the leaves were also modernized. As well as being a lovely addition to the pattern, the rooster is said to bring good fortune to the home.
The Galletto Red Serving Bowl is approximately four inches deep and ten inches in diameter.
