Deruta Galletto Green 7X4″ Serving Tray
This little ceramic serving tray was hand-painted by the artists of Labor Deruta traditionally. The Galletto pattern is a modified version of green and white ceramics that came from the Umbrian town of Orvieto in the 13th century. In the 19th century, centuries after Deruta had become the center of Umbrian ceramics, a rooster was added to the pattern, and the leaves were also modernized. As well as being a lovely addition to the pattern, the rooster is said to bring good fortune.
