Deruta Galletto Green 11X5″ Serving Tray
The Galletto pattern is a modified version of green and white ceramics that came from Orvieto in the 13th century. In the 19th century, centuries after Deruta had become the center of Umbrian ceramics, a rooster was added to the pattern, and the leaves were also modernized. As well as being a lovely addition to the pattern, the rooster is said to bring good fortune.
This ceramic tray was traditionally handcrafted and painted by the artists of Labor Deruta. It is perfect for serving antipasti. It is also the right size for holding our Deruta cream pitcher and sugar bowl. Measurements are approximate.
