Deruta Galletto Green 10″ Serving Bowl
The Galletto pattern is a modified version of green and white ceramics that came out of the Umbrian town of Orvieto in the 13th century. The original Galletto pattern was green and white in color like those one this bowl. In the 19th century, centuries after Deruta had become the center of Umbrian ceramics, a rooster was added to the pattern and the leaves were also modernized. As well as being a lovely addition to the pattern, the rooster is said to bring good Sberna in Deruta, Italy.
The Green Serving Bowl is four inches deep with a ten inch diameter. Measurements are approximate.
