Deruta Galletto Green 10″ Olive Oil Bottle with handle and “Olio”
There is a saying in Italy that to bring a rooster into the home is to bring good fortune. The Galletto pattern embraces this tradition. It is a pattern that originated in the Italian region of Umbria, and the Green was the original color. In fact, the rooster was added to the pattern after the leaves. Galletto is most commonly found in the ceramics town of Deruta, although it is also associated with Orvieto. This bottle comes with the stainless steel spout and cap. It is perfect for olive oil, especially with the Italian word for oil, “olio” handwritten across the front. The bottle was hand-painted by an artisan Sberna in Deruta.
It is approximately 10″ tall, including the spout, and can hold approximately 20 oz.
