Deruta Galletto Blue 14″ Serving Bowl
This bowl is an extra large size perfect for serving anything from pasta to salad. The rooster of Galletto, which is a pattern also found in Orvieto, is said to bring good fortune to the home because of a legend about the Medici family in the 15th century in which crowing roosters alerted Giuliano de Medici about the approach of hired assassins. This bowl was handmade by Sberna in Deruta, Italy.
This bowl is is five-and-a-half inches deep with a diameter of thirteen-and-a-half inches. Measurements are approximate.
