Ceramiche di Sicilia Vase with Orange Harvest
This vase is a such a fun shape. Wrapping around is a scene of a wholly Italian tradition, the orange harvest, or La raccolta dell’arance. Happy people gather oranges from trees, those famous Sicilian oranges that taste so good and are so beautiful. This vase was hand painted in Baucina, a small town outside Palermo, Sicily, Italy. Their work is inspired by the work of famed artisan De Simone. Indeed, life springs forth from every angle of this vibrant and joyous piece of Italian pottery.
This vase is 12″ in height. Across the wider part it is 9″ and 3″ across the more narrow part. Its opening is 4X2″. Measurements are approximate.
