Perfect for coffee or tea, this ceramic mug was handcrafted and painted by the artists Labor Deruta of Deruta, Umbria, Italy. The Galletto pattern came out of the Umbrian town of Orvieto in the 13th century. In the 19th century, centuries after Deruta had become the center of Umbrian ceramics, a rooster was added to the pattern and the leaves were also modernized. As well as being a lovely addition to the pattern, the rooster is said to bring good fortune to the home. These mugs are dishwasher safe.
The Galletto Red Mug is 3.5" in height and can hold 10 oz. Measurements are approximate.
