Tuscan Papavero 7.5″ Pitcher
Papavero is the Italian word for poppy. Full fields of the flowers bloom in May in the Tuscan region, where this pitcher was handcrafted and hand-painted. This pattern celebrates the growing season with the poppies of May, the sunflowers of late summer, and wheat ready to harvest in August.
Marino handcrafted and hand-painted these pieces. He is a master of making ceramics. His talent and creativity have been passed on to his daughters, with whom he works in his studio in Montelupo Fiorentino, the center of majolica in Tuscany.
The Papavero Pitcher is 7.5″ in height. Measurements are approximate.
