Tuscan Papavero Mug
Papavero is the Italian word for poppy. Full fields of the flowers bloom in May in the Tuscan region, where this mug was handcrafted and hand-painted. This pattern celebrates the growing season with the poppies of May, sunflowers of late summer, and wheat ready to harvest in August. Marino was a master of making ceramics. His talent and creativity have been passed on to his daughters, who work in their studio in Montelupo Fiorentino, the center of maiolica in Tuscany.
