Tuscan San Gimignano 20.5” Round Serving/Wall Platter with Marzocco Fiorentino
The Marzocco Fiorentino heraldic lion is a symbol of Florence, and it poses armed and ready for battle in a crest at the center this magnificent museum-quality platter. The lion is surrounded by the pomegranates and wheat associated in mythology with Ceres (Demeter) and Proserpina (Persephone). This glorious large platter was hand-painted by La Ceramica di Elena Ricciardi, who is in San Gimignano, Italy. It is food safe and wired to hang as wall decor.
It is 2.5” in height from table. Measurements are approximate.
