Tuscan San Gimignano 20.5” Round Serving/Wall Platter with Marzocco Fiorentino
The Marzocco Fiorentino heraldic lion is a symbol of Florence, and it poses armed and ready for battle in a crest at the center this magnificent museum-quality platter. The lion is surrounded by the pomegranates and wheat associated in mythology with Ceres (Demeter) and Proserpina (Persephone). This glorious large platter was hand-painted by La Ceramica di Elena Ricciardi, who is in San Gimignano, Italy. It is food safe and wired to hang as wall decor.
