Tuscan Animal Pattern 12″ Serving Bowl: Whale

Montelupo Fiorentino is a municipality in Florence in the region of Tuscany. From the end of the 13^th century and throughout the Renaissance, the town was one of the most important ceramics production centers in all of Europe. The artisans who make the Animal Pattern are among the first groups Bonechi Imports worked with in the early 1980s.

At that time, the artisans made the pattern with six different animals. With suggestions from Bonechi Imports, they now make over 70 animals. This ceramic bowl was traditionally handcrafted and painted by the artists. The Animal Pattern serving bowl is approximately 2.5” in height and 12” in diameter.
