Sicilian Fuoco 10″ Large Rooster Pitcher
Because of the Medici family’s legend in the 15th century in which crowing roosters alerted Giuliano de Medici to hired assassins approaching, rooster pitchers such as this one are considered to be providers of good fortune. This rooster or chicken pitcher was handcrafted and hand-painted in Santo Stefano di Camastra, Sicily.
