Deruta Ricco Blue Umbrella Stand/Floor Vase

Dating back to the sixteenth century, the Ricco design is heavily influenced by the frescoes of Renaissance artist Pietro Perugino.  He was the mentor of Raphael, and their work inspired the patterns of Deruta ceramics that date back to the sixteenth century. This ceramic umbrella stand, or floor vase, was handcrafted and painted by the artists of Sberna in Deruta, Umbria, Italy.

This piece of Italian pottery is 20″ in height with a 10″ diameter. Measurements are approximate.
