Deruta Arabesco Green 7″ Small Rooster Pitcher
Arabesco is a widely popular ceramic pattern that comes from the town of Deruta in the Italian region of Umbria. This ceramic rooster pitcher was handcrafted and painted by the artists Sberna in the Italian town of Deruta. Because of a legend about the Medici family in the 15th century in which crowing roosters alerted Giuliano de Medici to hired assassins approaching, rooster pitchers such as these are considered to be providers of good luck and fortune.
