Here we have our Grottaglie Limited Selections. Some of our personal favorites that we use in our family have come from Grottaglie, which is in the Italian region of Puglia. We love the whimsical, magical, and authentically handmade pottery.
We know that these ceramics, made by Ceramiche Monteforte, are like no other. The artisan is inspired by the sgraffito technique, “sgraffiare,” being the Italian word for “to scratch.” In this method, the artisan uses a tiny pointed tool, which still, to this day, is sometimes a porcupine quill, to add texture to the piece before it is fired in the kiln.
We offer Free Standard Shipping for orders over $100 inside the Contiguous United States.
