Dating back to the sixteenth century, the Ricco design is heavily influenced by the frescoes of Renaissance artist Pietro Perugino. He was the mentor of Raphael, and their work inspired the patterns of Deruta ceramics that date back to the sixteenth century. This ceramic antipasto serving dish was handcrafted and painted by the artists in Deruta, Umbria, Italy. It is a wonderful way of presenting appetizers or hors d'oeuvres in a divided platter.
