Dating back to the sixteenth century, the Ricco design is heavily influenced by the frescoes of Renaissance artist Pietro Perugino. He was the mentor of Raphael, and their work inspired the patterns of Deruta ceramics that date back to the sixteenth century. This ceramic pair of salt and pepper shakers was handcrafted and painted by the artists in the classical fashion in traditional Renaissance colors. Please note the items are sold as a pair.
