Dating back to the sixteenth century, the Ricco design is heavily influenced by the frescoes of Renaissance artist Pietro Perugino. He was the mentor of Raphael, and their work inspired the patterns of Deruta ceramics that date back to the sixteenth century. This ceramic espresso cup and saucer were handcrafted and painted by the artists of Labor Deruta. The cup is a different shape from the Raffaellesco Rounded Espresso Cup. It is shaped much like our tea cups but are more than half as small.
The cup can hold 2 oz when filled to the rim. It is 2" in height when on the saucer. The saucer is 5" in diameter. Measurements are approximate.
