This rectangular platter was handcrafted and painted by hand by artisans of Rampini at the foot of Mt. Ingino, a small mountain in the Apennine range. Gubbio was one of the centers of Italian pottery production during the Renaissance, and contemporary production respects traditional designs. The elegant lines and design of this piece pay respect to the art of the Renaissance era. This platter would be beautiful at the table or hanging as wall decor.
