This ceramic cream pitcher was handcrafted and painted by the artists in the traditional fashion in Deruta, Italy by Labor Deruta. The Galletto pattern is a modified version of a pattern that came out of the Umbrian town of Orvieto in the 13th century. In the 19th century, centuries after Deruta had become the center of Umbrian ceramics, a rooster was added to the pattern and the leaves were also modernized. As well as being a lovely addition to the pattern, the rooster is said to bring good fortune to the home. This cream pitcher is dishwasher safe.
The Galletto Blue Creamer is 3" in height and can hold 10 oz. Measurements are approximate.
