Shop Italian Ceramics

The hand-painted Pappagallo, Italian for parrot, is directly derived from a particular classic Tuscan design that dates back to the early 17th century. Fragments of ceramics dating back to the early 1600's that depict the “Pappagallo of Montelupo” are on display at The Museum of Archaeology and Ceramics of Montelupo. Each of our Pappagallo platters and bowls and dishes were hand-painted in that same town of Montelupo Fiorentino, located outside of Florence, Tuscany and famed for its ceramics.
